Most industrial process heat requirements today are met with fossil fuels like Coal, Furnace/Fuel Oil, Diesel, Biomass, LPG/CNG etc. Of these, relatively cleaner fuels like Diesel, Furnace Oil and LPG cost the most per unit of heat delivered.
However, as these fuels are getting scarce and expensive, there is a need for using solar heat to supplement the existing industrial heating systems.
