Solar Laundry

Commercial laundries use steam generated using burning of diesel or natural gas to cleaning dirty linen. Different equipment in commercial laundry like the calendering machine, the dryer and the press use steam that can be produced from solar concentrators instead of a diesel or natural gas fired boiler.

The image above shows a small electrical boiler producing steam to operate a press ironing clothes. For larger commercial laundries, the requirement of steam is much larger and a solar field can provide the steam required for the purpose.
